'The End of Her is not Shari Lapena's best. I love Shari Lapena. I am fan of hers since I read A Stranger in the House. When The End of Her came out, I was so excited to read it and I knew I was in for a treat. But I got disappointed. There's a lot of thought and not enough action in this novel. It felt to me that the narration is repetitive. Reverend Jack Brooks, a single parent with a fourteen-year-old daughter and a heavy conscience, arrives in the village hoping for a fresh start. Instead, Jack finds a town rife with conspiracies and secrets, and is greeted with a strange welcome package. 3 out of 5 stars. Implausible and gory thriller by CJ Tudor.
